The following blog post is an entry for the contest named as “Beautiful Ends to your Beautiful Braids”.

During school days, we used to have a fun chat where at times, we talked about the wired things. One of those incidents is about a mysterious girl who had only 3 braids on her head. As I was small kid, I used to laugh at such mysterious girl that never existed. The fun chat was that this girl goes to a beauty parlor and she asks for a hair style that would suite her image. The reluctant beauty parlor lady said that look you have only 3 braids and if they get pulled or cut then I would not be responsible.

The Mysterious girl says that I know that and thanks for reminding me. In this way that girl gives an order to the beauty parlor lady to proceed with the hair style. As soon as the beauty parlor lady starts combing her head one of the three braids get plucked. Now the mysterious girl says that it’s OK now just style them such that I can use a bow or chap.

The beauty parlor lady starts again with a gentle hand and again one of the remaining 2 braids gets plucked out. Now only one hair is remaining on the head of a mysterious girl and now it is the time where beauty parlor lady is scared a lot. In a low pitched voice she says to the mysterious girl that Madam you have only one braid left on your head and I think it will look good with a single pony.

Now the mysterious girl stares at that beauty parlor lady and orders her that now you should do it perfectly. As the beauty parlor lady was scared, her hands were shaking and she started to do the hair style and again the only remaining braid gets broken. At this time the mysterious girl was watching her action and now she give a mighty stare to that beauty parlor lady and orders her to leave her hairs freely. So in this way, the scared beauty parlor lady has done her job of leaving the imaginary braids in free style. On the other hand that mysterious girl says that this hair style suits better than the one she did previously.

Place water pots for birds in this summer season.

The summer season has started to heat up the environment and it is very important to provide water for birds. The birds need water and as it is summer season, all the water resources like lakes and small ponds run out of water. In this way all the birds wander here and there in search of water. We all know that there is scarcity of water in many places within the country and even human beings are falling short of water. We can get water through tankers and other sources but what are the options for birds? How do they demand water? So it is the time we should do our bit and provide water to the birds.

In order to provide water for birds, one needs to pour water in a bowl and place it outside balcony where the sun-rays don’t fall directly. Also choose a place where birds will feel safe while drinking water and if possible place some uncooked grains or cooked rice. The scarcity of water and food is the only reason that we don’t see small birds in our surroundings. So please place water outside your balcony and help birds this summer.

Bicycle Riders.

The best vehicle for traveling from one place to other is a bicycle and it is environment friendly as well. The bicycle rider gets a good exercise while traveling from one place to another. It is a vehicle which brings the two extreme ends of a city or place within in a range and at times it helps to go beyond that as well. It all depends on the willpower and mindset of people to use the bicycle in an efficient way. Most of the people don’t like to use bicycle as it takes a lot of time and energy to maneuver from one place to another.

Bicycle is a best vehicle for people who need to travel less than 10 KM distance on a daily basis. The benefits of being a bicycle rider are incredible and one of that is the exercise. As the energy is required to pedal the bicycle, there are less chances of being a fat guy. Hence, the bicycle riders will always be in shape and they will never get bulkier till they keep using it. As soon as they switch over to using a motorized vehicle then it is very difficult to maintain a proper health as the motor does all the work and bike rider just has to control the vehicle. So the first drawback is about the fat deposition within the body.

Many a times, it is seen that people take out their petrol or diesel vehicles for bringing groceries from nearby local shops and they don’t even think about the mother Earth. Most of the families have the bicycle at their home but it is kept in stationary position till it covers up with lot of dust and erosion. So it is basic necessity of every individual to protect the nature. Most of the people think that let it go, it doesn’t pollute the environment that much if they use petrol or diesel vehicle. Hence, I request them to use bicycle to go to the nearby local stores which will aid in protecting our climate and help build a greener planet.

Being a bicycle rider, it feels very sad that the motorized vehicle drivers on the road don’t heed respect and keep beeping their vehicles horn as well. At times it irritates a lot and most of the time the four wheelers or two wheelers think that bicycle riders are nuts and they need to be awakened by blowing a harsh horn. The bicycle rider’s speed is also being lowered down just because of motorized vehicle driver’s rookie nature. We the bicycle riders always keep the road clear so that motorized vehicles speed would not decrease. But on the other hand, 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler vehicle drivers stop at an uncertain turn and at times they even park their vehicles at odd locations. So it is the time where bicycle riders need a little bit of support from all the vehicles on the road. Hence, it will encourage all the people to be bicycle riders and save our planet as well.

Travelling is full of incidents and people should pick valuables out of it.

As usual, I was travelling to my office through a public transport service and I was waiting in the mob that was rigorously waiting for the bus to arrive. I too joined the club and as it was the morning time, everything looked cool and the only exception was that the bus did not come on time. I started looking around for other options but as it was early morning, there were only few available. I decided to wait for another 10 to 15 minutes so that bus might come. I asked one of the guys waiting for bus that did the bus come. Also asked him if we missed the bus but he said it is yet to come. It is public transport so we will have to just wait and watch. 

The time was running and in those 20 minutes the sun started to shine brighter and it was heating up the climate as well. Every one waiting for bus started wandering to and fro and the bus arrived in next 5 minutes. I was about to opt for other transport option and I was inside a private cab. I saw all the people sitting in the cab jumping out so that they could travel through the public transport. I too jumped out of that private cab and rushed towards the bus for which I was waiting for about 25 minutes. As the bus was empty it was sheer joy to grab the window seat and head towards toward the office on that day. 

Mean while the bus conductor arrived at my seat and I gave him the exact amount of ticket which made him smile. At times, the bus conductor does not have change of money which can be returned to every passenger. In this way, in next 5 minutes the bus conductor ran out of change money and he started asking exact amount of money for the ticket. Few passengers genuinely gave the exact amount of money for the ticket and few started questioning him about why he does not carry more change money. The bus conductor said that, he always carries more money in the form of change but today he felt short of it. 

In this way, I observed that many people were deliberately hiding their change of money and asking the bus conductor to return more change. But I would like to mention that it was not a good time for bus conductor and he was helpless as every passenger was asking for money in the form of change. In this way, this incident revealed that it was a bad traveling experience for the bus conductor on that day. People should understand that the bus conductor cannot step out of bus and ask the local shops to give him change of money. We all need discover valuables while traveling.    

Outdoor Games: Young generation should apply themselves.

Now-a-days we see that every youth is involved in playing games on Smartphone’s, Laptop, and PC or on Television Set. Well few days back I was also addicted to playing games on PC but prior to that I have spend my lot of time on the field. Today we don’t see children playing games in the park or in the play ground. Instead of that, the youth is kind of addicted to play games on the high end devices. The issue is very annoying as we see very less children playing around the park. 

Right now it is the generation of high end devices and we must know that the outdoor games are also very important from the perspective of the intelligent young generation. I feel that the role of children is that they should apply themselves in playing various outdoor games rather than playing them on high end devices. Today there are various mobile handsets in the market and each of the devices has a game application or specific games installed onto them. Mostly children keep an eye on when the mobile will be free and they can start playing games on it. Here the parents role is to divert them to play outdoor games which will give them strength and stamina both. 

If the child gets interested in the outdoor games, then it very necessary that they should give a proper weight age to outdoor game and study. Most of the youth today is addicted to high end devices which is not good because it has various drawbacks. The only positive in this indoor gaming is that young generation spends more time in thinking and take out the free time as and when they find an opportunity. So these indoor games are really a big matter of concern for all of us in the technological era. 

Today a time has come, where we have to prove that the outdoor games are far better than indoor games. The indoor games give a power of thinking to the young generation but it surely lacks in the physical strength and stamina. In future it is very important that young generation build their physical strength, stamina and their thinking capabilities which will aid them to live a fruitful life. Hence, if you find any youth around you then make sure that you present them the importance of outdoor games in an effective manner so that they can apply themselves in playing outdoor games.
